Guangzhou Auto Show: MG3 launched

The new MG3 debuted at the Guangzhou Auto Show. The car will get two engines: a 1.3 with 92hp and a 1.5 with 108hp mated to a 5-speed manual or automatic. Size: 3999x1728x1517, wheelbase is 2520. Updated: many more pics below:

The new MG3 will debut tomorrow at the Guangzhou Auto Show. But one example was seen driving around the exhibition center today, and it is one we haven’t seen before, in dual tone yellow and black. Very nice, very British, jolly, can’t wait for tomorrow.

Jolly!, if that ain’t the fastest looking MG I have ever seen. The new MG3 almost can’t wait to hatch, MG will celebrate its debut with a lot of firework and this is one cracker. The poor car is painted in a redicilous color scheme, especially weird from the side. Nuts, but kinda cool. The MG3 gets a 1.5 with 80hp and 135nm. Price to start around 70.000 yuan.

The Guangzhou Auto Show is about to begin. One of the most anticipated new cars is the MG3 and it is getting ready… Workers are busy pasting two cars to a wall on the MG stand, one with a UK flag on its roof, MG indeed, is so very British. Jolly.

Another day, another pic of the new MG3. This time we have a silver example parked somewhere around the factory. Not the best color, front loox very heavy. The MG3 debuted at the MG Zero Concept at the Beijing Auto Show in April. The MG3 is now ready and the production car will debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show starting at December 21. MG3′s in colors were seen at a gas station, for road testing for sure, but more likely to generate some free pre-publicity on websites like this blog. Well, job done MG, you got it! The MG3 will get 1.3 and 1.5 4-cilinder engines, price will start around 70.000 yuan.

MG3 Naked Again, in a boring color

After seeing loads of camouflaged MG3′s in funkt colors it is almost a relieve to see a brownish car for once. Bad color doesn’t kill the design meaning its lines are strong. Apart from the 108hp 1.5 a smaller and cheaper 1.3 will be available as well, no numbers on power for that one yet.

MG keeps testing barely camouflaged MG3′s in public, then leaving the cars unattended. Might they do this on purpose? Well, I’ll play along because the set includes one good pic of the interior. Sporty with an very flashy gearknob and handbrake.
