New MG3 Spied Again

The new MG3 is almost ready to roll over the market, here is is again and now in bright yellow. For the first time we have clear pictures of the stylish interior. The MG3 gets an 1.5 litre engine with 108hp and 135nm. Price will start around 70.000 yuan. The production car will likely debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show in December.

A small convoy of MG3′s was cought on the Shanghai-suzhou section of the Beijing-Shanghai highway. The cars don’t wear much camouflage anymore now that production has already started. Chinese websites report that there will be a ‘cross’-version of the MG3 as well. The standard car will hit la market in September.

Pictures from the factory show that production of the new MG3 hatchback has started, the car will be listed in September. Engine: 1.5 with 109 hp. Size: 3999x1728x1517, wheelbase is 2520. Price will start around 100.000 rmb.

This is actually the same car as seen in spy shots on May 13 but for some reason we now have two more pics and for the first time one of the back. It all loox very sporty, the area above the exhaust is of a very ‘interesting’ design.

The new MG3 will hit the market in October, one completely uncamouflaged car was found unguarded in a park near the factory. The photographer however, only managed to click two shots from the front.
Size: 3999x1728x1517, wheelbase is 2520. Engine is the same 1.5 litre unit as used in the Roewe 350, in the MG3 is comes with 80kw@6000rpm and 135nm@4500rpm. Top speed is 182km/h. Transmission: 5-speed manual or 4-speed auto.
Spy Shots: Production-ready MG3 Close to Zero

The new MG3 is confirmed for October and this is the first picture of the production vehicle. It loox very similar to the MG Zero concept car that MG unveiled at the Beijing Auto Show. All concept-thingies are gone and what is left is a sharp-looking small hatch. It will come with 1.5 and 1.3 litre engines and price will start around 70.000 rmb, and that is indeed a 10.000 more than we thought earlier. Still competitive enough, especially with those lines and the MG-nametag.

The new small MG from China will be named MG3 and not MG2 as we thought. What that does to the current MG3 SW (Streetwise) is yet unknown. Prove for the new name comes from this spyshot from the interior of a test car, the text on the lower part of the steering wheel clearly writes MG3.
Beijing Auto Show Live: MG Zero Concept

The MG3 did not make it to the Beijing Auto Show. Instead this MG Zero concept did. If the real car only loox a little like the Zero it might be worth the wait. But it problably won’t. Engines for the real one we know: a 1.5LVTI with 78kw@6000rmp and 135nm@4000rpm. Second engine is a 1.3, both engines auto or manual. Price will start somewhere between 50.000 and 60.000 rmb. The Zero/MG2 will get a sister at Roewe, likely to be called 250.
MG2 is OUT

This is the new small MG named ‘MG2′, it’ll get a little sister names Roewe 150. The pictures are leaked from what Chinese websites say is a drive with a testcar. It doesn’t look like a testcar to me, more likely these are leaked from some brochure.
Spy Shots: MG2 Caught Again

MG’s upcoming babycar ’2′ was coght again and for the first time the interior was caught as well. Loox all darn sporty, steeringwheel looks Buick but I especially like that little red button on the passenger-side-dash. It must be nitro! It is not, unfortunately, it is problably some tester’s delight.
