Downsizing?, say what? Not in China Sir! The massive Nissan Patrol has been officially listed on the Chinese car market as an import, the China-bound car debuted at the Guangzhou Auto Show. There is only one in only one configuration, it costs 1.39 million yuan, that is… hold on now… 218.000 US dollar. For a bloody agricultural 4×4 thing that feels best carrying cows around in Africa for the UN. Incredible indeed.
Nissan Quest listed & priced in China

The Nissan Quest MPV has been officially listed on the China car market. Price starts at 588.000 yuan and ends at 738.000 yuan. The Quest is imported, there are no plans for local production. Power comes from the 3.5 V6 with 252hp and 326nm, mated to a CVT. Via: Autohome.

Infiniti M-series to be made in China from 2015

Nissan will start production of the Infiniti M-series in China from 2015. The M has to compete with the China-made Mercedes-Benz E-series, BMW 5, AUdi A6 and Volvo S80. Nissan will likely put the Infiniti production under the Dongfeng-Nissan joint venture in a new factory in Hangzhou in Zhejiang Province. Via: Autohome.
Nissan to invest $8 billion in China

BEIJING — Nissan and its Chinese partner Dongfeng Motor Co. will invest 50 billion yuan ($8 billion) and launch around 30 models in China over the next five years, the Japanese auto giant said Tuesday.
The two firms — through their Dongfeng Motor Co. Ltd. (DFL) tie-up — also plan to nearly double annual sales and launch a zero-emission electric car, in a bid to increase DFL’s share in the world’s largest auto market.

The current Nissan Sylphy has been on the market since 2006. Time so for a new one. Production starts next year. Design will be based on the Nissan Ellure concept car. The Sylphy is made in China by the Dongfeng-Nissan joint venture. The new car will be positioned between the Sunny and the Tiida.
Infinity EX listed & priced in China

Infinity has officially listed the EX crossover on the Chinese auto market. The Infinity EX is imported, price starts at 498.000 yuan and ends at 650.000 yuan. Two cars available: the EX25 with a 2.5 V6 with 235hp and the EX35 with a 3.5 V6 with 318hp. Infinity is doing some good business in China, the Infinity FX is one of the best selling imported SUV’s in the country and the sedans find many eager buyers as well.
