A rather special Honda Odyssey police car, seen on a parking lot in Beijing. Police in the capital usually doesn’t use Odysseys to sleep in, they all drive cheap Elantra’s and such. Whatever officer has it must be a bit careful now with all these anti-Japanese car bashing riots going on! The Odyssey is made in China by the Guangzhou-Honda joint venture, the facelifted car was launched late last month.

The facelifted Honda Odyssey MPV has been launched on the China auto market, price starts at 229.800 yuan and ends at 279.800 yuan. The facelift includes a new grill, new bumpers, new front and tail lights, and an updated interior.

This is the 2013 Honda Odyssey for the Chinese auto market. Honda didn’t change that much but what they did is very good. Biggest new thing is the grill with three extra chromed bars! Chinese car buyers do dig chrome a lot and Honda knows, there is more shiny stuff at the back as well.

The first spy shots of the facelifted Honda Odyssey, it will debut at the Beijing Auto Show later this month and it will be listed on the Chinese car market soon thereafter. The Honda Odyssey is made in China by the Guangzhou-Honda joint venture.

The Chinese Honda Odyssey will get a facelift. The Odyssey is one of the most poplar MPV’s on the Chinese car market and is always in fierce competition with the Buick GL8. The facelifted car will debut at the Beijing Auto Show in April.

Honda had applied for patent for China for the US version of the Odyssey MPV. A little odd since Honda is already selling the Japanese Odyssey on the Chinese market, that car is made by the Guangzhou-Honda joint venture. Honda might want to import the US Odyssey and position it higher up the line.
