The great city of Yichun in Jiangxi Province in China has banned all electric tricycle taxi’s from the city center. And not just that, they impounded them as well, a total of 934 (nine hundred thirty four) units. No parking lot in town was big enough for that so they dumped them in the Central Park stadium.

A heavily overloaded tricycle, Spotted in China late at nights on a highway in Beijing by Reader Lao Wei, thank you for the pictures! The tricycle is transporting at least 11 sacks, likely loaded with recyclables, held together by a few flimsy ropes. On top of that sits a woman, looking remarkable relaxed. Her position is about four meters above the asphalt where cars are passing by at high speeds.

An interesting car crash in China. A trash-carrying tricycle hit into a Porsche Cayenne, late at night in the great city of Zhengzhou in Henan Province. The accident lead most of the trash to land on the bonnet of the Porsche. Happily, there were no serious injuries.

A brilliant Chinese man from the great city of Zhengzhou in Henan Province has built a helicopter, for on the road. It took Yuan Jinying, a retired aircraft engineer, five long years to design, develop, and build the vehicle, all by himself and all by hand.

This is the wonderful Yi’an YA II City Tricycle, a new low-speed electric vehicle (LSEV) from China, seen last month on the Shandong EV Expo (intro) in Jinan City. It was absolutely one of the weirdest and greatest vehicles on the show, featuring a front with a smile, pink-character decals, an impossible narrow plastic body, a large windshield with a single wiper, and huge black mirrors. The man in black with a hat was the owner of the company, we said ni hao and exchanged cards, but he was not of the talkative kind.

This is the speedy weedy Mulan Anai G2000, a new low-speed electric vehicle (LSEV) from China, seen last month on the Shandong EV Expo (intro) in Jinan City. The Mulan Anai G2000 is a fast two-seat tricycle aimed at young hip-ish green-car buyers, featuring a streamlined cabin, an impressive array of headlights, sharply cut mirrors, and racy wheels ready for the circuit.

This is the brilliant Fuyingmen Yuedong 85, a new electric tricycle from China, seen last month on the Shandong EV Expo (intro) in Jinan City. The vehicle is painted in a bright kinda Pink and dressed to kill with a large white basket up front, a metal mudguard, beige-orange seats, propeller-like lights, and lots of speedy decals. Yuedong means ‘Happy Moving’.

The Shandong Shanneng SNF-1 is a two-door tricycle painted in Pink and white, featuring speedy decals, LED-like lights, large black mirrors, roof rails, a single windshield wiper, and racy wheels with shiny alloys.

An electric tricycle transporting a flock of about one hundred helium filled balloons, Spotted in China near the Flower Market near the eastern section of the Third Ring Road in east Beijing. The balloons were dancing dangerously wild in the summer wind but the two men crew just chatted about like all was all right.

This is a very rare Beijing Dongfeng BM021A tricycle, Spotted in China in the Beijing Classic Car Museum. The vehicle was sadly in a rather sad shape with a lot of cracks and rust. Happily, it was still in working order and staff told me they regularly use it to ferry heavy stuff around.
