The YueYue is JAC’s entry into minicar territory where it will compete all Chinese Aygo-clones. The YueYue however is fortunately no copy of anything and has it’s own nice looking lines. The car will go on sale in about a month, price starts around 50.000 rmb. The yellow YueYue on the picture was spiced up a bit with sporty wheels.

A little bit less spiced up with a little bit less sport wheels. Standard wheels are plastic alloy-look-a-likes. Size: 3535x1640x1475, wheelbase is 2390. Engine a 1.0 litre 4-cilinder with 50kw and 95nm, 5-speed manual or auto. Top speed is 150km/h.

It might sell well if JAC could, the problem is that they don’t have many dealers in the cities, I’ve never seen a JAC-dealer here in Beijing. Guess they’re working on it…

  1. Sorry to tell you Tycho but also the JAC Yueyue is based on the Toyota Aygo platform, so it belongs in the ‘famous’ Aygo range: BYD F0, Geely Panda, Chang’an Benben Mini and the Lifan 120 still to come.
And of course the Tongtian revival.
    Greetings! Erik.
