The cheapest car in China is no more, long live China’s cheapest car. The Jiangnan Alto got a new name and it is a good one: Jiangnan TT. The TT is based on the old-old Suzuki Alto, Jiangnan got a license from Suzuki so no copying here.

Jiangnan is a subsidiary from Zoyte Automobile. Price of the Jiangnan TT starts at 20.800 yuan and ends at 25.800 yuan. Basic engine is a 0.8L three-cylinder with 36hp.

  1. This Alto design evokes shades of the Porsche 911, in its timeless appeal in China. Both Jiangnan and Qinchuan Auto now BYD) began selling it as far back as 1992. Chang’an Shengli has apparently replaced it with other minicars.
