Older spy shot.

Roewe plans to make 1000 E50′s in 2012, price without subsidies will be a steep 300.000 yuan. The electric motor has 52kw, range is 190km and top speed is 130km/h. Fast charging takes 30 minutes for 80% and charging on 220V takes 8 hours. The E50 will be marketed as a city car, although its top speed seems good enough for the highway.

  1. Didn’t we see this one under the E1 codename back at Beijing 2010? Seems SAIC just isn’t putting its heart into new energy…..

    • @ Dragin. Yez, it debuted as the Roewe E1 on the World Expo in Shanghai, in 2010. The E50 on the 2012 Beijing Auto Show was the concept car again, still no production version.
