Cool electric Audi TT Cabrio for Children from China
Published on August 6, 2012 by Tycho de Feijter
Found on the internet while surfing for diapers, no kidding here! This me think is a very cool electric car ford kids, and I am gonna buy one for my son, no matter what the wife thinks about dangerous this and that. The company who sells it shamelessly calls it an ‘Audi Convertible’ in Chinese, and indeed it loox kinda based on the TT Cabrio. Sure the company redesigned the logo a bit to stay out of trouble with the Germans…
Dash very simple, like it should be in a sportscar. The Audi Convertible is available with a 6V or a 12V electric motor. Top speed, depending on engine, is 3 or 5 km/h. Size: 117/68/37, no number on wheelbase. Weight is 14.5kg with the 6V motor or 17.5kg with the 12V motor.
That’s a big penalty for extra power! I guess the 6V will handle much better, especially since this vehicle is front-wheel drive. Price for all this pretty: 458 yuan (72USD) for the 6V and 578 yuan (91USD) for the 12V. A big penalty again, I think I’ll go for the six. Other nice thingies include working lights, a horn and enough chrome to temporarily blind mama.
Can only seat one; a proper single seat racer. Wing is really good, lotta down-force there. Car is so fast, it can take baobao to the Nex World which he can blow up with a Navistar full of TNT. Dig!
A proper German license plate so export shouldn’t be a big problem. Well, I got to find me those diapers now. More big & strange Chinese toys soon later…
