Spy Shots: facelifted Buick Excelle is Naked in China
Published on November 5, 2012 by Tycho de Feijter
After seeing a zillion of camouflaged cars we finally have the first spy shots of an all-naked facelifted Buick Excelle, and we are disappointed. The facelifted Ecxelle loox basically the same as the current car except for a slightly different grille and a new bumper.
What indeed, was all the fuzz about? The so called ‘facelifted’ Buick Excelle will debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show later this month, but we will skip the party. Compare:
The current Buick Excelle, made in China by the Shanghai-GM joint venture. Price starts at 99.990 yuan and ends at 117.900 yuan. Lone engine is a 1.6 with 110hp and 146nm, mated to a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic. This engine will continue in the facelifted Excelle and price will be about the same.
But there is some new news on the engine-front; the facelifted car will also be available with a 113hp 1.8 mated to a 5-speed manual or 6-speed automatic. Sounds modern! Price for the 1.8 yet unknown.

Yez, the color of the headlights is a bit different!
