The Guangzhou Auto Trumpchi GS5 1.8T has been launched on the China auto market, price starts at 148.800 yuan and ends at 229.800 yuan. The Trumpchi GS5 1.8T is powered by a turbocharged 1.8 liter four-cylinder petrol engine, good for 175hp and 230nm.
Transmission is a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed automatic. Drivetrain is 4×2 or 4×4. The Guangzhou Auto Trumpchi GS5 SUV debuted in March last year. The only engine available was a 2.0 engine with 150hp and 183nm. The 2.0 is based on an old Fiat ‘Twinspark’ design, the 1.8 turbo is developed by Guangzhou Auto. The Trumpchi GS5 is based on the Guangzhou Auto Trumpchi GA5 sedan (formerly Guangzhou Auto Trumpchi) which stands on the platform of the Alfa Romeo 166.
The 2.0 and 1.8 turbo look the same inside out, trim level depending on configuration. Interior on the dark side with a few chrome strips and a relatively small screen.
