The best spy shots so far of the facelifted Kia Forte, it will debut on the Shanghai Auto Show in April and it will be launched on the Chinese car market soon thereafter. The facelift includes a new grille, new head lights, new rear lights, new bumpers and an updated interior. New grille comes with more chrome in line with the latest trend in China. New headlights look aerodynamic and angry.
The current Kia Forte, made in China by the Dongfeng-Yueda-Kia joint venture. Price starts at 98.800 yuan and ends at 122.800 yuan. Lone engine is a 1.6 with 123hp. The more expensive variants of the Kia Forte with the 2.0 liter engine have been killed to make room for the new Kia K3. The facelifted Kia Forte will continue as a budget alternative but it won’t last much longer than two years.
Thicker chrome again under windows and on door handles. New ‘5-spoke’ wheel covers very racy.
Best part sits at the back with a brand-new and very thick chrome bar between the new rear lights, which sit withing a chrome frame again. Shiny shiny little Kia this is!
Current rear end very forgettable.
