Spy shots showing the new Changfeng Liebao Heijin Q6 SUV, it will be launched on the Chinese car market in Q3, debut is expected for the Chengdu Auto Show in September. The Changfeng Liebao Heijin Q6 is the production version of the Changfeng Liebao Heijin concept that debuted on the Shanghai Auto Show in April.

The Changfeng Liebao Heijin Q6 is an up-market variant (not a replacement) of the Changfeng Liebao, which is based on the 1991 Mitsubishi Pajero and made under license in China by the Changfeng Motors Corporation. The Liebao comes with a 2.2 liter four-cylinder or a 3.2 liter V6, both mated to a 5-speed manual. The  Liebao Heijin Q6 will use the same engines and transmission. Price for the Q6 will start around 115.000 yuan where the base Liebao starts around 105.000 yuan.

  1. This looks very much like what the CS6 should have been although I much preferred the CS6 interior. I owned one in Harbin, great car but with Mitsubishi engine was underpowered. The sales brochure at the time had 3L, v6 and other options but they were only available in the brochure! (2010)
