The first Rolls-Royce Wraith has arrived in China. A pearl white example with rather sporty alloys was unloaded at a Rolls-Royce dealer in the great city of Fuzhou in Fujian Province. Interestingly, the Wraith has not been launched on the China car market yet, so this is either a demo car or a car for a very wealthy VIP customer who gets what he wants before the others do.
The vehicle looks as if it was built on order, with those sporty alloys and especially with the ‘one-tone’ paint where all the factory press cars came in dual-tone. Official debut of the Rolls-Royce Wraith in China is scheduled for the Guangzhou Auto Show in November. Price in China will start around 5 million yuan or 820.000 USD. Lotta money, but engine: power comes from a twin-turbo variant of the the V12 with an output of 624 German-British horses. More than enough to beat those Chinese boys in their Bentleys…
Wraith in attack mode.
It looks a lot less vulgar in darker colours. Depth of engineering integrity is awesome.
I actually quite like it in white. The car displayed in Frankfurt… now that was vulgar ! 😉
Hey Tycho,
I know of one which is driving around and registered in Beijing since last week. Some customers purchased the car first in the UK then imported them privately with some customs connections to be the first.
