The Yema T70 SUV debuted earlier today on the 2014 Chengdu Auto Show. The Yema T60, formerly known as the Yema B60X, is a brand new compact SUV. Design is a curious mix combining influences from Volkswagen and Audi. Nevertheless, this is the best looking Yema ever.

Dash just neat enough but all a bit too black. Quality of the materials seems all right. The Yema T70 will be powered by a new 1.8 liter four-cylinder petrol engine with 131hp, mated to a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic, sending power to the front wheels. Yema is also working on a new 1.8 turbo with about 170hp. This engine will be mated to a CVT. Price will start around 80.000 yuan and end around 120.000 yuan.

Size: 4555/1835/1688, wheelbase is 2665.

  1. Still a Tiguan wannabe. Interior looks okay though.

(I take back my comment about calling that thing hideous in the last T70 article in May, but thank God it doesn’t use a lousy 30-year-old platform)
