A totally over the top Toyota Alphard MPV, Spotted in China in the great city of Dalian in Liaoning Province. The good Alphard is fitted with a massively impressive body kit, including completely new dual-headlights, an all-white grille, a new bumper section with lots of vents and wings and without the standard fog lights, side skirts, and large wheels with shiny gray multispoke alloys.
The standard Alphard for comparison. The Toyota Alphard is imported into China. Price starts at 614.400 yuan and ends at 799.800 yuan, Engines: 2.4 liter four-cylinder petrol, and a 3.5 liter V6. Although expensive, the Alphard is reasonably popular in China, especially as an executive vehicle with all sorts of fancy mobile-office stuff installed. and for those who think the price too high; they need no worry no more, because Chinese carmaker Joylong is working on a clone of the Alphard, which will be much cheaper, and almost looks the same.
Taillights divided into two as well. Low flying rear bumper with diffuser flanked by two large oval-shaped exhaust pipes. Windows completely black for the much-needed privacy. V6 powered. 272hp and 340nm. Alphard needs that power to move all the extra plastic. But looking good.

The headlights aren’t aftermarket

That’s right the headlights and rear lights are from the Japan-only Toyota Vellfire.
But in Shanghai, I saw a 1st-gen Toyota Alphard (2002-2008) with Vellfire’s headlights :

It is maybe another Chinese mix?
The one in the picture os on Hong Kong plates, and it’s RHD, so it’s probably an import from Japan.
Thank you for your comments! The car Navigator saw in Shanghai has indeed Hong Kong (and Guangdong) plates and it is RHD, so it was most likely bought in Hong Kong and imported from Japan. The one I saw in Dalian however was clearly marked ‘Alphard’ and was LHD. The grille also differs from the Vellfire’s. Maybe an official Toyota-supplied body kit? Or a Chinese kit anyway? Quality-wise it looked quite good, better than the usual cheap Chinese crap.
