A sporty profile with a large wing above the window, usable roof rails in black, black wheel arches and wheels that are just a little bit too small.

Huansu (means Magic Speed) is a brand under the Beijing Auto Industries Corporation (BAIC). The cars are manufactured by a company called Beiqi Yinxiang Automobile, a joint venture between the BAIC and the Yinxiang Motorcycle Group.

The Huansu brand is aimed at buyers in second and third tier cities, so we won’t see much of them in the first trier mega cities like Beijing and Shanghai.

The Huansu S5 stands on the same platform as the Beijing Auto Senova X55.

It is available with two engines: a 1.3 turbo with 133hp and 186nm, and a 1.6 with 116hp and 140nm. Lone ‘box is five-speed manual sending horses to the front wheels.  Car on pics is the 1.3 turbo.

Size: 4460/1820/1685, and wheelbase is 2650.

Fantastic looking turbo badge on the front fender with urbo in red.

Dash is very dark but sexed up with shiny bits in the center stack and in the steering wheel, which has an interesting shape. Perforated pedals for super magic speed, the pillars are in body color and the seats in this car are in white leather.

Analogue dials with a blue-light line around them, on the right an ultra cool trip computer that looks like it ran away from the 1980’s.

Blue line turns to green!

An 9-inch touch screen, the infotainment system has navigation, Bluetooth and USB connectivity, a rear-view camera, and a radio.

Enough space for 3 on the bench.

Sporty alloys, red lights connected by a shiny strip, exhaust pip is hiding under the bumper.

Huansu badge proudly on the grille; this is the new S5 SUV for China.
