A fire truck loaded to the roof with what seems to be a restaurant’s inventory, seen somewhere in the great city of Guilin in Guangxi Province. Sadly we don’t know exactly what’s going on here. Are those brave firemen merely helping a friend who had to move his stuff or are they trying to earn a few extra yuan after a fire? Either was, let’s hope they are careful, that furniture loox very flammable… Via: MOP.

Here we have a magnificent old Beijing (the brand) fire truck standing next to a construction site in the Sanlitun bar district in Beijing (da city). This beauty should be standing safe in a museum but instead it is still on active duty today.

This fiery red beauty is the Xinlonghai 2300, an LSEV firetruck that I met on the the 2017 Jinan EV Show. It was the hottest firetruck on the show and likely the hottest in the world. It has a short bonnet, round blue lights, a Jeep-like shiny grille, a bull bar, red bumpers(!), protruding wheel arches, big round black mirrors on stalks, a giant windshield and wiper, and flashlights on the roof.

Going through the old archives can be a bitch, seeing stuff you rather don’t want to remember. There are some exceptions, such as this brilliant Jiefang CA10 water truck. I met this monster all the way back in the summer of 2003 when I just arrived in Beijing (still here!). The truck was in active service, used for spraying water on the overheated asphalt around the famous Beijing Workers Stadium, which was very close to my then home.

An interesting Ferrari crash in China, seen in Shanghai by reader Chiprdan, thank you for the pics! A Ferrari FF drove into the back on a truck on a bicycle lane. Furthermore; the Ferrari was driven by a laowai (foreigner) with a laowai-chick on the passenger’s seat. A rather special situation, but it gets even better…

A Ferrari FF supercar seen on a truck on a highway near the great city of Chengdu in Sichuan Province. We keep seeing the Italian racehorses on trucks lately, aren’t they supposed to ride themselves? The Ferrari FF was launched in China in early 2012, priced at 5.3 million yuan or 848.000 USD. So much money might make afraid to drive, and when the FF hits the road on its own wheels things go wrong a bit too much. Truck thus, is better.
