The ultra speedy NextEV NIO EP9 electricsupercar arrived at the Shanghai Auto Show, times six, representing the entire first-production run. Five cars go to early investors in NextEV and the very first EP9, the one that broke all the records, will stay with the company.
Zotye surprised on the Shanghai Auto Show with this new T500 SUV. It looks rather good for a Zotye and it isn’t really a copy of anything, which is even better. But the T500 is yet another SUV in the already over-crowded lineup, where it will fit just under the Zotye T600.
Hawtai is still alive but they ain’t kicking very hard, sales are slow and their cars are aging. On the 2017 Shanghai Auto Show they tried to add some blood to their body with this Hawtai WS55 sedan, sporting a distinctive Ford snout.
This is the FAWJunpai A50, a new compact sedan that debuted on the Shanghai Auto Show in China. The Junpai A50 stands on the same platform as the equally new Junpai CX65 wagon. The A50 will launch on the Chinese car market shortly, with a price ranging from 60.000 to 80.000 yuan.
Small and affordable wagons are finally cool in China (too early) and many automakers are scrambling to get one to the market. This brown orange beauty is the FAWJunpai CX65, a brand new wagon that will be launched later this year.
Geely has launched an MPV concept on the Shanghai Auto Show in China. It is called the ‘MPV Concept’, a name not very original but certainly easy to remember. The MPV Concept previews an upcoming Geely MPV, which might as well be called ‘Geely MPV’.
The FengshenAX4 crossover hatchback has been unveiled on the Shanghai Auto Show in China, showing off its enormous fog lights fitted in an enormous shiny frame making the light look even more enormous. Daring design all the way around on this AX4, check the top line of the black area on the doors:
The new DongfengFengdu MX3 has been unveiled on the Shanghai Auto Show in China, sporting a nose-heavy design with large lights and a lot of shine. The Fengdu MX3 is a compact SUV that will be launched on the Chinese car market in Q3.
Hybrid Kinetic surprised in Geneva with the sleek H600 concept sedan. They came to Shanghai with two additional concepts: the K550 five-seat SUV and the huge K750 six-seat SUV. Starting with the latter; painted in brown and featuring an enormous grille with razor sharp bars and the company’s logo in the middle.
The new Changan CS55 SUV debuted on the Shanghai Auto Show in China, and it has become a nice looking little thing, probably the best looking Changan SUV so far. Black wheel arches compensate for small wheels and big bumper inlets compensate for small grille. All in all a very balanced design.
