Brilliance will bring loads of news to Shanghai Auto Show, the new X3 SUV, the new X4 sedan and a facelifted FSV. Biggest changes are up front, the grille got much more chrome. Chinese car buyers like bling, a lot, so this is problaby a very good idea.

The Brilliance Junjie Cross is based on the Brilliance Junjie FSV hatchback. The Junjie-familie now has four members: the sedan, the wagon, the hatchback and this rather useless Cross. But no mistake; the Cross will likely be the best seller of the familie since the Chinese market loves everything crossed. The Cross stands a little higher on its wheels, got loads of extra plastic and of course a roofrack for the canoe. Engine a lonely 1.5, with 5-speed manual yours for 99.800 yuan and with a 5-speed auto for 109.800 yuan. And that’s it, just one trim level makes it easy to choose.

Brilliance wants to spice up the rather boring FSV sedan with this new FSV Sport. Brilliance added a lot of weight in spoilers, some red lines around the grille and bigger wheels. No word on a bigger engine or any other mechanical changes so I guess there won’t be any. Engines either a 1.5 or a 1.6, price around 90.000 rmb.

Brilliance Automotive is slowly sexing up its range, newest addition is this sportsmodel based on the FSV, the FSV itself is based on the slightly bigger BS4. The ‘FSV sport’, as I call it for now until known better, got a load of extra plastic and a brand new front. The blackened grille loox really sporty, the normal FSV has too much chrome there and that ain’t helping top speed.
