This is what Hummer could have been had they seen the light. But they didn’t. Bodo did. This indeed is the Bodo BD10, a low-speed electric vehicle (LSEV) that I saw on the 2017 Jinan EV Show. Its beautiful boxy body is all about Hummer; the grille, the bumpers, the side bars, the wheel arches, the mirrors, the roof rails, and even the fake air vents with indicator on the front fenders look Hummer-like.

We continue with the 2017 Jinan EV Show; this is the brand new Today Sunshine Mine M1 LSEV, looking very stealthy in matte gray. It looks very much like a shrunken Mini Countryman with 3-doors instead of five, but it doesn’t look like a Paceman.

Last week we went to Jinan for the 2017 edition of the brilliant Shandong EV Expo, the largest low-speed electric vehicle (LSEV) show in China and in the world. See our coverage of the 2016 show here. We are starting off immediately with the beautiful Xinyuma Fengguang, a tiny two-door that looked very pretty in Pink.

The great city of Yichun in Jiangxi Province in China has banned all electric tricycle taxi’s from the city center. And not just that, they impounded them as well, a total of 934 (nine hundred thirty four) units. No parking lot in town was big enough for that so they dumped them in the Central Park stadium.
I Always Wanted To Have A Pink Double Cab 3-Wheel Pickup Truck With Searchlights On The Roof And Now China Will Sell Me One

There is nothing I wanted more than a pink double cab 3-wheel pickup truck with searchlights on the roof. Many years I dreamed and searched, but my quest has finally come to a very happy end. This little beauty is the Xuzhou Suding four-door electric tricycle. It doesn’t really have but it doesn’t really need one; it has searchlights on the roof, three of ‘m, and they are big!

Many people have asked me what on earth can be done about Chinese copycats like Zotye Auto. Nothing can be done really, so I always jokingly reply that somebody should clone Zotye back, to teach them a lesson, to make them feel how it feels to be cloned. Well now; a low-speed electric vehicle (LSEV) maker from China’s Shandong Province didn’t make just a joke, they actually did it: they cloned a Zotye, the E200 EV to be precise, and they called it the Tieke E200. Eat that, Zotye!

This is the T-King Oujia, a low-speed electric vehicle (LSEV) from China. The vehicle is exactly three meters long, it seats four, and looks rather good for the segment. Most eye catching design aspect is the Volvo grille up front.

A kinky Rattle E28 in Pinky, Spotted in China on a small square in front of a mall in the Fangzhuang residential area in south Beijing. The cars were parked out in the open, the preferred way of selling LSEV’s these days, and belonged to a nearby shop. Next to the Rattle stands a Dayang Chock-H and next to that a purple blue E28. We will have a good look at all of them.

This little blue beauty is the Lishededidong (li-she-de-di-dong) Urban Elf, a three-seat low-speed electric vehicle (LSEV) from China. I met the Urban Elf in front of a barber shop near my home in the far far east of Beijing, she was painted in blue and fitted with a beige interior and funky seat covers.

And finally I met a real Dojo Pioneer in Beijing. The Dojo Pioneer is a low-speed electric vehicle (LSEV), it can be used in the cities but not on the highways or even on the ring roads. The Dojo Pioneer seems inspired by the Aston Martin Cygnet, features an Aston Martin Ford grille, and a Ford-alike oval badge.
