Spy Shots: Zotye Z100 testing in China, with its Inspiration
Published on March 7, 2012 by Tycho de Feyter
Did I mention the new Zotye Z100 was a copy-clone of the Suzuki Alto? Yez I did. Zotye was good enough to confirm my suspicions by testing the new Z100 with the Suzuki Alto together. Thank you Zotye. Well, they did remove the Suzuki-badge…
The Zotye Z100, formerly known as Zotye A00, will debut at the Beijing Auto Show in April. Power will come from a 1.0 four-cylinder from a yet unknown origin. Price will start between 30.000 and 35.000 yuan. Price of the China-made Chang’an-Suzuki Alto starts at 45.000 yuan.
Interior 1:1 Alto as well. Chinese media have been burning Zotye down to the ground for this Alto-copy, attitude in China is changing a lot about the cloning-thing, and that in the end might be the best than can happen to the Chinese auto industry.
