Spy Shots: Haval H9 SUV is testing in China

New spy shots of the upcoming Haval H9, the largest SUV for the Haval brand. The Haval H9 will debut on the Beijing Auto Show in April and it will be launched on the China car market soon thereafter. The Haval H9 will be positioned above the Haval H8 that was launched on the Chinese auto market in November.

The Haval H9 will be available with two brand new engines developed by Great Wall Motors: a 2.0 turbo with 218hp and 324nm mated to a 6-speed automatic, and a very hot 3.0 V6 turbo with 333hp and 480nm, mated to an 8-speed automatic. Drive train is a new all-wheel drive system. Price will start around 230.000 yuan.

The H9 is about the size of a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado. Design sports a lot of chrome, giant rear lights, and interestingly double air vents on the bonnet.

Interior very impressive with nice materials, including wood, and lots of goodies. Steering wheel in leather.

Judging by the photos the interior quality is still not up there with the best (eg the Germans) but has certainly made immense progress.
