Spy Shots: Brilliance V3 SUV is getting Ready for the Chinese car market

New Spy Shots of the Brilliance V3, a new compact SUV with a daring design. The Brilliance V3 has been delayed for some time and is now expected to launch on the Chinese car market in the first quarter of 2015. The V3 will be positioned below the rather more conservative Brilliance V5 SUV, price will range from around 80.000 to 120.000 yuan.

Interior looks interesting as well, with thick chrome bars over black and beige. Instrument panel is especially cool. The V3 will be powered by a 1.5 liter four-cylinder petrol engine with an output of 111hp and 143nm, mated to a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic. A 150hp 1.5 turbo will be added to the line-up later. Size: 4200mm/1790mm/1600mm, wheelbase is 2570.

C-style with a tiny window, large wing on the roof, gray bar in black bumper.

Car appears to be spied in the factory, likely a pre-production vehicle.

The front is by far the most polarizing part with a large grille with a fuzzy vertical chrome bar in the middle, small mean looking headlights, and than that huge black hole in the lower bumper. Certainly special…

A very original and great looking design! It has some BMW notes in it, but nothing that I would call copying. A very nice car!

Just imagine trying to parallel park this monster, with its greatly restricted rear visibility. This is an example of innovative design at the expense of practicality.
