The new E Class L debuted on the Shanghai Auto Show in April, it will be launched on the Chinese car market in July, priced between 400.000 and 750.000 yuan. Buyers can choose between two different fronts, this rather sporty design or…
… a more traditional variant. The China-made E will be available with the following engines: 184hp 1.8 turbo (E200L), 204hp 1.8 turbo (E260L), 231hp 3.0 V6 (E300L), and the flagship 333hp E400L Hybrid. The E Class L is stretched by 11 centimeter in the middle for more space in the back. It is made in China by the Beijing-Benz joint venture that also makes the C-Class and the GLK.
The E Class L competes head-to-head with the Audi A6L, the BMW 5Li and the Volvo S80L.
