JAC Refine S2 Mini Is Ready For The Chinese Car Market
Published on December 13, 2016 by Joey Wang
This is the new JAC Refine S2 Mini, formerly known as the JAC S1. The Refine S2 Mini is a small crossover, best compared with the BYD Yuan. It will be launched on the Chinese car market later this month and price will range from around 60.000 to 80.000 yuan.
JAC showed the Refine S1 in April, it looked ready to roll but it became very silent after that. They didn’t bring the car to any auto show and the status of the project was rather unclear. The S1 was slightly hipper than the S2 Mini. It had dual tone paint, white mirrors, and more shiny in the bumper.

The interior however has been hipped up with a lot of red. Compare. Touch screen pops out the dashboard but it seems rather small.
The Refine S2 Mini will be powered by a 1.3 liter four-cylinder petrol engine with 99hp and 126nm, mated to a five-speed manual sending horses to the front wheels.
Now those are proper roof rails! B-C/D pillars in black and the door handles in shiny.
Size: 3775/1685/1775, and wheelbase is 2390.
Spare wheel box on the rear door is always good. Door opens to the left. Chrome bits in the bumper are interesting.
JAC calls their new corporate grille design a “bottle”.
